Becca Gould 

Biography

Becca Gould is an accomplished senior executive, board member and CEO adviser who has built and run corporate government affairs and communications departments for industry associations and Fortune 500 companies including Microsoft, Dell, and American Tower.

A thought leader known for her entrepreneurial spirit and vision, Becca designs, recruits’ talent for, and leads teams advancing business priorities for real estate (with a specialty in REITs) telecommunications, and technology industries. Becca has a network in the each of those industries and a reputation for particularly having an impact during a company’s rapid growth stages organically or thru M&A.

As Senior Vice President of Public Affairs at American Tower, Becca has fostered a leadership culture supportive of greater external engagement, including with the company’s board, and shaped public affairs practices that promote bottom-line business objectives and support expansion. Her leadership tenure coincides with growth in the company’s assets from ~60,000 to over 220,000 towers, and an expanding focus to include the data centers.

Becca represents American Tower’s interests before governments in the U.S. and globally. In recent years, she led the company’s efforts in industry associations and before governments through the pandemic and through significant legislative activity including the rewriting of the tax provisions applying to REITs.

A key advisor to the CEO and board, Becca currently serves on industry boards and decision-making bodies within the company including the Disclosure Committee and the Global Sustainability Committee. She chairs numerous initiatives and regularly interacts with board members, advising them on strategic external engagements. Based on her success, Becca was asked to expand her portfolio to include all external communications at the corporate level.

Before joining American Tower, Becca created the Global Government Affairs and Public Policy Department for both Dell and the Business Software Alliance, Microsoft’s lead trade association.

She lives in Boston with her husband and two sons.
