Our CEO and Founder, Nihal Chauhan, recently had the privilege of participating in and moderating a panel at the India-Japan Forum, a premier gathering focused on advancing the economic and strategic partnership between these two pivotal nations. The event underscored how India and Japan’s collaboration is becoming a cornerstone for the Indo-Pacific region—driving collaborative growth, innovation, and security.
During the discussion, Nihal Chauhan highlighted how bilateral trade between the two countries has now surpassed $20 billion, with Japanese investments at an all-time high in infrastructure, manufacturing, and emerging technologies. This upward trend is a testament to Japan’s position as one of India’s largest investors and most trusted partners, with cumulative FDI inflows exceeding $40 billion and over 1,500 Japanese companies currently operating in India.

He also emphasized the game-changing infrastructure collaboration, exemplified by Japan’s support for India’s high-speed rail network and significant contributions under the Japan-India Digital Partnership. These efforts are bridging critical infrastructure gaps while accelerating connectivity across the subcontinent.
Nihal Chauhan further spoke about the rapid strides in AI and emerging technologies, fueled by India’s young, tech-savvy workforce and Japan’s advanced expertise. Joint research initiatives in artificial intelligence, robotics, and next-generation tech reflect the shared commitment to remaining at the forefront of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Defense and security ties, underpinned by joint naval exercises and technology partnerships, also play a decisive role in ensuring a free, open, and inclusive Indo-Pacific.
