Indo-Pacific Advisory (IPA) is delighted to announce the appointment of Gavin Chay as its newest Board Advisor. With nearly 40 years of distinguished service in Singapore’s Public Service, including over 25 years in senior leadership positions with Singapore's Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Ministry of Defence and Armed Forces, Gavin brings extensive expertise in diplomacy, strategic planning, security and geopolitics focused issues.
A Legacy of Public Service and Strategic Leadership
Gavin’s tenure in Singapore’s Public Service spans key assignments at the Ministry of Defence and Singapore's Armed Forces, where he made valuable contributions at the operational and policy level to enhance Singapore's safety and security. Later, as Consul-General in Mumbai and Batam, he advanced Singapore’s economic partnerships and effectively nurtured ties in key regions. His commitment to public service has been acknowledged through the conferment of the Public Service Medal (Bronze), underlining his enduring contributions to Singapore, South East Asia and the broader Indo-Pacific community.
